This is a great picture of Dean (age 13). Dean later gave me (Jan Joseph Shook, Jr.) that go-cart when I was a teenager. Unfortunately, I never could get it started. That old 4-cycle engine started with a rope wound around the crankshaft. I remember winding and pulling and winding and pulling forever but I couldn't get that darn engine to start. I bet Dean had a blast on it in its day, though.
