JAMES ALEXANDER SHOOK, JR. - Alex was born in Conroe, Texas June 7, 1984 and went to be with the Lord March 6, 2010. Alex graduated from Huntsville High School in 2002. He served in the United States Army for 3 years as an Unit Supply Specialist and did a tour of duty in Afghanistan and was awarded the Army commendation Medal, Army Achievement Award, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon. He was proud to be a United States Soldier and serve his country. Alex is preceded in death by his father James Alexander Shook Sr. and his brother Michael W. Shook. He is survived by Mom and Dad, Jeff and Sherry Vienneau, his sister Melissa Shook, brother Jeffrey Vienneau, nephew Matthew Shook and many other loving relatives and friends. His faith in God will let him rest in peace now after suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Services will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas with Pastor John Gaston officiating. Interment will be Thursday, March 11, 2010, 2:30 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville.
