Miss Shook
Goldie Shook, 77, of 530 Church Street, died at 8:50 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital.
She was owner and operator of Shooks Newsstand and a retired beautician.
The daughter of Gregg A. and Lillian Hunter Shook was born Jan. 30, 1900 in Sulphur Springs. She was a long-time member of the First Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Buster Shook.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Tapp Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Gatlin officiating. Interment will be in City Cemetery.
