Obituary (Bessie)
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. for Mrs. Bessie L. Shook, 64, in Rix Chapel with the Rev. J.L. Bozeman, pastor of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shook died Wednesday in Amarillo following a brief illness. She had been a Hereford resident for five years and was a housewife and a member of the Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, who died in Porterfield, Calif. in 1974. Survivors include a son, Thurman Morris of Elk City, Okla.; and four sisters, Exie Lesly of Buffalo Gap, Thelma Lesly of Clovis, Bernice Thigpen of Texico, N.M. and Laverne Westberry of Hereford.
