There are only three references that record this individual's given name: 1) The 1880 census records his name as Roan Shook, 2) Lou (Shook) Morgan's death certificate records her father as Leroy Shook, and 3) Francis' death certificate records his father as Roy A. Shook. Two of the three names, Leroy and Roy, are similar and census records tend to be a little sloppy. So I have profiled Roy as Leroy A. "Roy" Shook.
