Story

Thomas A. Sanders II married Martha A. Dobson. To this union were born eight children; four girls - Evelena, Irene, Jewel, and Carry; and four boys - Arthur, John, Clyde, and Edd "Dot". Thomas A. Sanders II died in November of 1916 at age 59. His wife, Martha, lived to the age of 83, passing to her reward on December 9, 1944. Most of the above named children of Thomas A. Sanders II lived in or near Montgomery County, Texas, and have now passed on, leaving few sons to perpetuate the Sanders name.

A posting on Genforum reads: "Thomas A. Sanders was born Jan 15, 1857 and died Nov. 21, 1916. He is buried in the Pate-Sanders cemetery. His wife was Martha A. Dobson. They were united in marriage on Oct. 19, 1877 in San Jacinto County, Texas. Their children were Arthur Barnet Sanders, John D Sanders, Clyde, Clara, Irene and Ed. Irene was killed in a car wreck in Angleton, Texas. There is supposed to be nine children but I have no information on any of them and their descendents. I am the grandson of Arthur Barnet Sanders."
