Wallace Thomas Shook is buried in Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas. I visited the cemetery in August 2014. His headstone is just across the street from the cemetery's office.
Death Notice (Gonda)
Gonda Van Marion Shook, 99, of Beaumont died Saturday, May 31, 1997 in The Woodlands Health Care Center. A native of Rockanje, The Netherlands, she lived in the Beaumont area for 75 years. A private committal service will be followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, in Wesley United Methodist Church in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Mrs. Shook is survived by: son, Dr. Wallace T. Shook of Conroe; four granddaughters, Debra Reyna and Rachel Berner of Houston, Martha Waldhofer of Willis and Lydia McMahan of Richardson and seven great-grandchildren.
