Obituary

Funeral services for Jefferson D. Etie, 75, of San Leon, will be held at graveside at 10:30 a.m., Monday at Forest Park East Cemetery, Rev. Thomas Forbes officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Jack Rowe Funeral Home. Mr. Etie died Friday at Clear Lake Hospital in Webster. He was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on April 10, 1905. He was a retired painter for Union Carbide, and he lived in the community for 48 years. Survivors include his wife, Mary V. Etie of San Leon, sons, J.D. Etie of Pearland, George Etie and Herbert Etie both of San Leon, daughter, Betty Overman of San Leon, his mother, Mrs. Ada Lemons of Houston, brothers, Ernest Etie of Conroe, William Etie of Pasadena, Boysen Etie of Houston, sisters, Margaret North of Houston and Francine Reidel of Houston.
