Margaret E. "Marge" Turner Etie

SAN LEON - Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Margaret E. "Marge" Turner Etie was welcomed into the gates of heaven March 6, 2004. She was born September 9, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Archie Earl and Ola Florence Wilson Turner, her sister Doris Turner Deforest, and nephew Randy Camper.

She is survived by her brothers Jerry and Bobby Turner; nephew Wally Camper; husband George Etie; daughter and son in law, Ricky and Donna Knighton; son and daughter in law Adrian and Briana Etie; son and daughter in law Sheldon and Tiffany Etie; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her best friends Georgia Jones, Keith Boyd, Louise Kettle and her life long friend Jody Taylor.

There will be a gathering of friends and family Sunday, March 28, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Hillman's Seafood for a "Celebration of Life" and to toast to her Bon Voyage.

SAN LEON - GEORGE DENNIS ETIE, 64, passed away April 4th, 2008 at his residence in San Leon. He was born March 9th, 1944 to Jefferson Davis II and Mary Vera Brooks Etie in Galveston County, TX. The family will receive visitors on Thursaday, April 10th from 5- 8:00 pm and Friday, April 11th from 1-8:00 pm at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway in Texas City, TX 77591.Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12th at 2:00 pm in the Carnes Chapel. Graveside services will follow at the San Leon Cemetery on Bayshore Drive in San Leon, TX.
