Jerry and Madeleine Vessels passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. They are survived by their children Diana and Randall Vessels; grandsons Kyle and Garrett Vessels; great-grandchildren Skye and Jason Vessels; Jerry's brother and sister, Glenn Vessels and wife Donna and Janice Vessels Goetz and husband John; Madeleine's brothers Paul Otis and wife Kay, Ronald Lee Otis and wife Bobbie, Roland Otis and wife Sara and numerous other relatives and many friends. The family will greet friends 6-8pm, Friday, January 4, 2013 at Klein Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Salem Lutheran Church, 22601 Lutheran Church Rd., Tomball, TX 77377 with interment to follow at Pate Sanders Cemetery

Troup, Texas — UPDATE: Cherokee County Sheriff, James Campbell, tells KETK Jerry Vessels, 68, and his wife Madeleine, 66, died in a house explosion this morning around 11:30 a.m.

Officals confirm that there was some sort of explosion that occurred but are unsure at this time the cause of the explosion.

Sheriff Campbell confirms that the house was heated by propane, but officials are still investigating if that was the cause of the explosion.
