Mrs. Shook's Rites Sunday
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Elliott's Chapel of Memories for Mrs. Kathleen Shook, 61, of 511 Palm St., who died about 5 p.m. Friday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital.
An employee of Grissom's Department Store here for 23 years before retirement because of poor health in March 1953, she came to Abilene 29 years ago. She was born Kathleen Wilfong July 1, 1889, of Haskell, graduated from Haskell High School and attended Texas Christian University, then at Waco, in 1909.
The Rev. Harlie W. Woolard, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate at 2 p.m. services Sunday. A short service will follow at 4 p.m. at the First Christian Church at Haskell. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery at Haskell.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Grace Conner of 4034 South Seventh St., Mrs. Esther White of Wichita Falls, and Mrs. Dess Arbuckle of Corpus Christi: one niece, Mrs. Charlotte Esposito of 426 Lexington Ave.; and one nephew, Sam Conner of Amarillo.
