Obituary

Otho G. Shook, 74, of Prairie Hill, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2006, at a local hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brett Spivey and Fred Sain officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m, Saturday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home.

Otho was born in Byrone, Texas, to the late Sidney and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Norman) Shook. He was baptized at Watt Baptist Church at an early age. On June 27, 1951, he married Fae Janet McFarland in Prairie Hill. Otho owned and operated Shook's Drive In and Shook and Son's Auto for several years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #741 and was a Shriner.

He was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Shook, of Prairie Hill; daughters, Diane Milligan and husband, Danny, of Burleson, Donna Matoska and husband, Joe, of Golinda, and Darlene Janek and husband, Lynn, of Prairie Hill; son, Richard Shook and wife, Tammy, of South Lake; grandchildren, Jana Perrin, Kristine Lawrence, Cory Matoska, Shea Matoska and Katie Matoska, Glen Loth, Ryan Janek and Sarah Janek, Kyle Shook, and Kelly Lautenslager, Cole Shook and their mother, Mary Lou Ross, Jennifer Wilson and Brandon Wilson, and Tiffany Floyd; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
