Obituary
HAROLD "LLOYD" PATE, 84, passed away Feb. 20, 2008, at home with his family in Channelview, Tx. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Matranga Pate, his son Michael Pate, daughter Sandra White Belote, grandchildren, Paul Belote, Kimberly Pate Belcher, Nicholas Pate, Gregory Pate, Harold Michael Pate and Angela Belote Jardine, as well as six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Nelson and Zelma Snook Pate, his siblings, William Pate, Stella Pate Weirich and Mary Alice (Mae) Pate McDowell. Lloyd is retired from Exxon, following 38 years of service and a WWII veteran of the US Navy. Graveside services will be held at San Jacinto Memorial Park on IH10, the East Freeway, Feb. 23, 2008 at 2pm. Visitation is from Noon to 2pm. Harold L. Pate, 84, entered into rest Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Harold was a longtime employee of Exxon. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Alex Hernandez. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia; daughter, Sandra Belote; son, Mike Pate and his wife, Belen; grandchildren, Paul Stevens, Angela Belote, Dana Harper, Kimberly Pate, Nick Pate, Greg Pate, Magali Hernandez and Harold Michael Pate. He also leaves to mourn his passing nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. -- findagrave
