NOTE: There seems to be four Risdon's. One born of Daniel. The other two Risdon's were born of James and John (father Daniel). So they were nephews of the first Risdon. That's why two conflicting dates keep showing up. I think Risdon Jr. (number four) was of the John line not James.
"Comments: The lineage from Daniel down to Lumpkin is taken from the tombstone of James A. McDaniel, b. Nov 12, 1924, still living, in the Dykes Cemetery, Sneads, Jackson Co., FL. The tombstone reads Jim, the son of Oscar, son of Robert, son of Lumpkin, son of Risdon, son of John M., son of James, son of Daniel, b. 1690 d. 1734. No more info on tombstone."
Two Risdon's recorded in the 1800 Jones County, North Carolina census (page 295, roll 31, series M32).
In the 1850 Census for Decatur County, Georgia, Risdon was recorded as Risdon McDaniel, Sr. at age 55 and a farmer. He was residing with his second wife Lucy (age 30). The 1860 Census for Jackson County, Florida has a descepency. It records Risdon at age 69, which makes his birth date fall between 1791-1795.
