There is little information on Reney. I have profiled him as Reney B. "Jersey" Whitney for the following reasons. First, Reney is found with John Wilbur Whitney (aka Wilder) in the 1910 census. While recorded as a lodger, Reney was most likely John's younger brother. Directory listings from 1906 - 1916 also record a Reney B. Whitney living in Galveston. Combined with the 1900 and 1910 census records, Reney lived in Galveston circa 1900 - 1916. While Andrew's brother is recorded as "Jersey" in the 1900 census (rather than Reney), I am assuming "Jersey" is a nickname. With John (the oldest) born on 25-SEP-1878, Andrew (the second oldest) born on 14-FEB-1880, and Reney (the third oldest) born OCT-1881, the differences of ~3 years between Reney and John and ~2 years between Reney and Andrew argue strongly that Reney (Jersey) was the younger brother of John and Andrew.
