SWEETWATER - William Morris Shook, 87, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at a Sweetwater retirement center. Services are 4 p.m. Monday at McCoy Chapel of Memories, burial in Garden of Memories.

Edith Virginia Shook
SWEETWATER — Edith Virginia Shook, 83, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Allen Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Shook was born in Wingate and was a graduate 1933 of Wingate High School where she was the salutatorian. She married William Morris Shook on July 19, 1932 in Carlsbad, N.M. She had lived in Sweetwater since 1934. She became an LVN in 1964 and was involved in nursing home administration. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband of Sweetwater; one daughter, Barbara Geurin of Cloud Croft, N.M.; two sons, Charles Shook and Joe Bob Shook of El Paso; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
