Services for Nellie Shook, 86, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeridge Baptist Church with Kip Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.

She died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001.

She was born Sept. 13, 1914, in Wallace, Ala., and moved to Lubbock in 1951. She was a nurse at West Texas Hospital and Methodist Hospital, and retired from the State School in 1979.

She married John Glynn Shook in 1962. He died March 26, 1988. She was a member of Lakeridge Baptist Church, where she was active in her Sunday School Class, "Top of the Hill."

A daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Pace, died in August 1968.

Survivors include a daughter, Veronyka Vance of Lubbock; two sons, Ralph Taylor of Dalhart and Doug Taylor of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
