Obituary

Dylan Ray Shook, 16, of Sherman passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday, Feb. 9, 2009.

Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Friday at Dannel Funeral Home, Sherman. LaRon Branson and Scott Potter will officiate. He will be laid to rest at 11 a.m. Saturday in Post Oak Cemetery in Glen Rose. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dannel Funeral Home.

Dylan was born Aug. 6, 1992, in Granbury, the son of John S. Shook and Rhonda Mitchell Rodriguez. He was an exemplary student at Sherman High School and involved in the choir, theater arts and Interact.

Dylan was a wonderful, sweet and caring young man who would go the extra mile for his friends and family. He will be missed dearly by all those who loved him and knew him and will never be forgotten.

Dylan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glenn Mitchell; uncle, Daryl Mitchell; and grandmother, Mary Shook. Survivors: Parents, Rhonda and Mike Rodriguez of Sherman and Steve Shook of Fort Worth; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Bobby Beal of Denison; sister, Michelle Rodriguez of Fort Worth; brother, Anthony Rodriguez of Oklahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Joel Turnbow of Fort Worth; grandparents, Paulene and Kenny Price of Granbury; grandfather, Herb Shook of Hurst; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
